Sometimes you just have nothing. I forgot to tap my "One Regional Card for All" (ORCA) before getting on the train north after work. Fearing a meeting with Fare Enforcement -- young fit men in jumpsuit-like uniforms (reminiscent of what the Polizi wear in films from the 1980s) who walk the light rail cars and verify with a handheld scanner that you have tapped your card at the turnstile -- I de-trained at Columbia City and took the circuitously routed #8 bus to the Safeway on 15th Avenue East.
